Position Overview

IHOP is looking for a detail-oriented and high-energy Expeditor to join our team! As an Expeditor, you are the key link between the kitchen and the front-of-house—ensuring every plate is accurate, complete, and delivered on time. You’ll manage the flow of food from the kitchen, support servers, and oversee all to-go and online orders to ensure every guest—whether dining in or taking out—receives the same high-quality IHOP experience.

This role is fast-paced and critical to our operations. If you thrive under pressure, have a sharp eye for detail, and take pride in delivering great food the right way, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of food from the kitchen to the dining room to ensure timely and accurate service.
• Inspect all plates for presentation, accuracy, and completeness before leaving the kitchen.
• Coordinate with cooks and servers to maintain smooth communication and efficient operations.
• Oversee all to-go and third-party delivery orders (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.) to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Package and organize takeout orders to meet IHOP standards.
• Keep the expo line organized, stocked, and running efficiently during peak hours.
• Assist servers by prioritizing orders and helping maintain table flow.
• Communicate any delays, issues, or modifications clearly to the team.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the expo and service areas.
• Support overall team operations as needed to ensure a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experiences preferred (IHOP experience a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay organized and maintain urgency during busy shifts.
• Dependable, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
