Position Overview

IHOP is seeking experienced and motivated Server P (Premium Payrate) team members to deliver the next level of service excellence. As a Server P, you set the tone for guest satisfaction by leading through example—providing fast, friendly, and flawless service while mentoring newer team members.

This role is designed for high-performing servers who consistently demonstrate strong guest connections, menu knowledge, and attention to detail. If you’re known for your leadership, hospitality, and ability to keep things running smoothly even during a rush, this role is for you!

Please note that the posted pay range includes tips and reflects our premium pay rate tier for top-performing team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide warm, welcoming, and efficient service to every guest, every visit.
• Demonstrate expert-level menu knowledge, including promotions, dietary options, and pairings.
• Lead by example—support, coach, and assist newer servers and team members when needed.
• Manage tables with precision: anticipate needs, upsell effectively, and ensure a smooth guest flow.
• Handle orders, payments, and guest concerns quickly and professionally.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service area at all times.
• Collaborate with kitchen and management teams to ensure accurate orders and timely service.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and sanitation standards.
• Participate in ongoing development and uphold IHOP’s service standards and brand values.

Qualifications

• Previous IHOP experience or proven success in a high-volume restaurant required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Reliable, consistent, and team-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays.
