Position Overview

IHOP is seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Leader to join our leadership team! As a Shift Leader, you’ll help oversee daily restaurant operations, support your team, and ensure every guest leaves happy. You’ll lead by example—keeping things running smoothly, upholding IHOP standards, and creating a positive, fun, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead front-of-house and back-of-house teams during assigned shifts to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain IHOP’s high standards for service, food quality, cleanliness, and safety.
• Coach and support team members in real time to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Manage shift checklists, side work, and opening/closing duties.
• Assist with training new team members, reinforcing IHOP’s core values and operating procedures.
• Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally, finding solutions that ensure satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with management, servers, cooks, and hosts to maintain team alignment.
• Monitor cash handling, register operations, and ensure accurate deposits at end of shift.
• Support scheduling, inventory, and daily operations as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant or leadership experience required (IHOP experience preferred).
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to motivate, coach, and support team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, organized, and professional with a hands-on leadership style.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule availability, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
